AFRICAN LEADERS AND THE CONCEPT OF POWER


African leaders need to understand the concept of power and respect the rule of law.

They need to realise that Power should not be personalised. It shouldn't be exercised to impose their own will.

Power should be viewed as sacred if not mystical. It should be seen as a symbol of unity and embodiment of the core values of the society.

The attitude of African leaders towards election and re-election must change. Series of illicit activities and actions by African governments before, during and after Elections must stop.

Power should be used to create a conducive atmosphere for citizens of such country to realise their highest potentials.

If a country desires progress, growth and political stability, the attitude of the government towards power must change.
